About Swiftstrike
Swiftstrike is a Swedish defence-technology company. We build hardware and the
AI software that runs it, from edge to command. Our products are developed with
experienced operators and refined through real-world field testing, and everything
we build is designed to be cost-effective at scale and priced for fielding in numbers.
The role
Our software runs everywhere from the cloud to edge compute in fielded systems, and it has
to be built, tested, deployed, and updated reliably in all of those places. As our DevOps
Lead, you will own the infrastructure and the pipelines that make that possible: how we
build, ship, and run software across development, simulation, and the field.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set the standard for how Swiftstrike delivers
software, architect the infrastructure, build the critical pieces yourself, and grow the
practice as the company scales.
What you'll do
- Own the CI/CD, build, and deployment infrastructure across cloud and edge.
- Make releasing software fast, safe, and repeatable, from a developer's laptop to a fielded system.
- Build and lead the DevOps practice, and set the standards the rest of engineering builds to.
- Own infrastructure-as-code, observability, and the reliability of the systems developers depend on.
- Work with test and autonomy engineers to run our software and simulation at scale in continuous integration (CI).
- Harden our infrastructure and delivery for the security demands of defence work.
What we're looking for
- Deep experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including time leading or setting direction.
- Strong command of CI/CD, containers, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience deploying and operating software on edge or embedded targets, not just in the cloud.
- Fluency with Linux and a scripting or systems language, such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- A track record of building delivery infrastructure that teams trust.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with security-sensitive, air-gapped, or on-premise environments.
- Observability and reliability engineering at scale.
- Experience supporting robotics, autonomy, or data-heavy workloads.
- A background from the armed forces or from defence.
- Swedish language skills.
What we offer
- The infrastructure you build ships software that protects people.
- Ownership of an entire discipline. You define how a defence-technology company builds and delivers software, from day one.
- Hard problems: delivering reliably from the cloud to the contested edge.
- An office in Stockholm, plus time in the field with the systems.
- Competitive compensation, including equity options, so you share in what we build.
Given the nature of our work, employment may be subject to a security review and
to citizenship or residency requirements applicable to Swedish defence industry.
We will discuss this openly during the process.
